Help Hermit Crabs at the Pet Expo!

I am the owner and co-admin of the Land Hermit Crab Owners Society and it's flagship site and online magazine The Crabstreet Journal.

For 17 years we have been on the web helping people care for their pet hermit crabs. We focus on research, education and community outreach with various member programs.  One of our biggest struggles is the amount of wrong or outright dangerous information that exists online regarding hermit crab care.

The expo is expected to draw 25,000 people! That's a lot of chances to get the correct information into the hands of potential and existing hermit crab owners.

Everything we do is funded out of our own pockets with a small amount of sales commissions coming in a few times a year.  We had to cease printing of our magazine several years ago because the print costs became unmanageable. Big dreams and a small budget makes it a bit more challenging but we refuse to give up.

This year we were determined to finally have a booth at the pet exp and thanks to some very generous people we have secured our booth! I can't even tell you how excited I am to finally be able to give hermit crabs the much needed exposure they need.


Because this is our first time as an exhibitor we are starting from scratch.  Your donations will help us acquire things like:
Drape
Signage and promotional items (stickers, buttons, magnets)
Designer fees
Printing costs for copies of our caresheets and business cards to hand out
Hermit crab safe products to offer for sale or giveaway
Display stands/hanging hardware

And probably a ton of stuff I haven't even thought of yet!

The Pet Expo in St Louis is November 5th and 6th so I will need the funds by then.
