Counseling for Kev

After working in the navy Kevin and his wife decided to retire in Spain. Because he liked to sing he started to do DJ work at a local karaoke bar. He loved his job and as the bar decided to re-locate to a smaller village in the area they moved along. Kevin had a happy life until Christmas eve. At this evening a group of people molested him just because he asked to keep it down. The amount of violence was very extreme, he got totally beaten-up and left in an ambulance.  A week after the incident Kev wanted to go back to work so he would have some distraction. Exactly 2 weeks later things got bad again, a customer did swear through the microphone and Kevin took it away, a discussion started which ended again with violence. Kev broke his nose, got bitten all over his body and had to be treated at the hospital.

What happened has a made a huge impact in Kevin´s life. Currently he cannot continue his beloved job, he needs to rest, recover and get counselling so that cannot only give this a place but also navy past.

The social security offers counselling but not in English. We have found a English counsellor in Albir which can help him but these cost are not covered by his insurance.  The counselling does cost €80,- per session. We believe that if Kev can have this counselling for 6 months, he would have a chance find back happiness.

We as bar owners donate 2 sessions and also 1 from the staff. We hope  we´ll manage many more and thank you in advance.
