Cory's 4th Annual BDay Scholarship

Tomorrow is my birthday!! That means it's time to use my day of privilege not to ask for a tie, barbecue tools, or workout equipment, but ask for donations for my annual scholarship fund. Every year I am humbled by everyone's generosity. Over the past three years WE have awarded over $4000 in scholarships for my TRIO Upward Bound students - THANK YOU!
Like the past three years, this scholarship will be awarded to one (or more) of my TRIO Upward Bound student(s). As part of Upward Bound, students are from low income households and/or would be the first in their family to earn a college degree. They are required to maintain a minimum GPA, attend weekly success meetings, spend many of their Saturdays during the school year touring college campuses, and spend six weeks of their summer break on the campus of Montana Tech living in the residence halls and taking classes. Above all of that, my TRIO Upward Bound students are just awesome people who I consider to be part of my extended family.
Amber and I are committed to matching the first $400 donated. If previous years are any indication, we should surpass that goal pretty quickly, thanks to your generosity.
If you're so inclined, please consider donating a few bucks to this year's scholarship fund. Not only will it help students pay for college, but hopefully it will inspire the next generation to seek out opportunities to pay it forward by helping others. In addition, and maybe more importantly, it will make you feel good and will be a great, positive way to start your day.
