My name is Corrie Williams and I have been accepted to attend the National Youth Leadership Forum: Explore Stem at Wake Forest University this summer.
A career in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics would allow me to learn more about graphic designing. I want to do graphic designing because it gives me more of an opportunity to share my talents with other people. It excites me that I get to work on my creativity. I have to work really hard and have patience in order to be successful.
Advancements in STEM can create a better future by improving the way we see the world. Being the good artist that I am, I want to be able to share it with other people.
April Greiman was one of the many people that showed her potential in graphic designing. In an article that I read it states, “...she saw beyond the threat that technology posed and exploited the digital tool.” It also states, “She is considered one of the first designers to see the computer in a different light, who realized its potential as a design tool.” This shows that if you can see that you have the potential to do something great then you should go for it. Creativity is an important part of graphic designing.
In order to get the outcome that you want, you have to be able to use your creativity. In an article called “Role of Creativity in Graphic Design” by Johnny Kilhefner, it states, “..creativity isn't the process of creation, but the ability of designers to conjure original thoughts and implement them in novel ways.” It also states, “How designers use their artistic sensibility depends on how creative they are in wielding it.” This shows that creativity is used differently among people that are in graphic designing.
In conclusion, graphic designing would be a career that I would want to learn more about because it gives me an opportunity to exploit my talents and it helps me with improving my creativity.
My reasoning for setting up a Go Fund Me Account is to help me reach my goal with this opportunity that has been given to me to push me closer towards my dream.
