Hello friends!
As I am writing this I am receiving my first infusion of chemotherapy for Stage 3 Inflammatory Aggressive Breast Cancer. I know I am exceptionally lucky because I have very good insurance and will not be feeling the burden of extremely large medical bills. However, I did not understand how much would be going into the nutrition, hydration, and time off side of this battle.
My husband and I have always been thrifty. I coupon, I use apps, I do what I can to save money and take care of my family and pets on a single income as I have not worked since being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. So after realizing the financial demand and extra costs that will go into beating cancer, and after some persuasion from my sister, I have decided to set up this GoFund Me to help with nutritious food, lots of Ensure (which is surprisingly expensive), lots of water, gas to and from treatments, and for living expenses should my husband need to be off work to help me through treatment and for when he is off work for my surgeries.
I am very grateful for all the support I have already received from friends and family. Your texts and Facebook messages mean the world to me and Ryan. We have a long year + of treatment and recovery but because of our amazing support system I have no doubt that I will kick Cancer's butt!!!
