Cops to Kilimanjaro Facebook Page

We are a team of Police Officers climbing Mount Kilimanjaro for 2 local charities in the Isle of Man, Manx Miracles & Tabitha's Trust.
Please give whatever you can in support of these 2 great charities.
Manx Miracles is a parent led charity for families and children that have additional needs and disabilities in the Isle of Man.
Tabitha's Trust is a family run charity supporting families through child bereavement on the Isle of Man.
Each member of the team is paying their own costs so all donations go to charity.
Thank you for your support.

The last week is upon us! Hard to accept that it's finally here, having been sat with a cup of tea in February 2014 talking about a team building day which then turned in to climbing Kilimanjaro before the cups were even half empty.
Carl will be talking to Ben Hartley at Manx Radio tomorrow morning about how we've prepared and how we're feeling now it's here.
Those of you who have followed us will know that we've trained in Wales, Scotland and the Lake District over the past 18 months and spent thousands of pounds along the way but it will be worth every penny and every drop of sweat.
The support for our two charities has truly been overwhelming and money is still coming in, so thank you very much to you all.
We post another quick update before we leave but then it will hopefully be to tell you all about our experience.

Just under 2 weeks remaining before our trip so we thought it would be a good time to update you all on our fundraising.
We have received over £2,300 in donations and money from cake sales. A further £1,000 has been pledged in donations and sponsorship as well.
Our fundraising target is £5,000 so we are still hopeful of getting somewhere close to that figure.
We would like to thank everyone for supporting us and hopefully 3 weeks today we will be back in Moshi having successfully reached the summit of Kilimanjaro.

We have just completed the pre trek weekend in North Wales. We had presentations on clothing & kit, health, acclimatisation, altitude sickness, treatment & symptoms, porter welfare and we did some hiking and scrambling too.
Seven weeks left now until we fly to Tanzania so not long to wait.
If you would like to make a donation please do so, it will be hugely appreciated, remember all donations go to our charities, Tabitha's Trust and Manx miracles, and not towards the trip, this is funded 100% by the team, Thank you.
