CayCee Johnson is a 49-year old wife and mother whose world was turned upside down on January 8, 2019. CayCee was experiencing a great deal of pain during the last 3 months of 2018 in her abdomen area. After a biopsy of her pancreas and liver, CayCee was diagnosed with Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer. This cancer has already spread to her liver and thyroid. She has begun chemotherapy treatments to try and slow the growth of the cancer. As one who has always relied on her faith in all things, CayCee is pressing in even further, as she is beginning to have the difficult conversations about what this means for her and her family.
CayCee has been married to the love of her life, Keith, for nearly 20 years. Keith and CayCee are not only husband and wife, but are truly best friends. Their connections are full of playful banter which brings a lightheartedness to every interaction, and demonstrates the sweetness of the love that exists between them. Though Keith is a strong tower for CayCee, he is sensitive and thoughtful, and is in need of our support to navigate their new daily reality. Keith and CayCee are parents to Lexi (18), Lynn (14), Lauren (13), and Davion (12), as well as adult children DuJuan and Asya, and grandson Cayden (6). As the treatments and pain continue, and CayCee's physical body is weaker, the kids are helping in new ways around the house and in support of one another. These funds will in part help CayCee spend as much quality time with her family for as long as possible.
This family needs our help. The desire is for CayCee to continue treatments and spend quality time with her family. In order to do so, CayCee needs to continue her every other week chemo, working some reduced hours to allow time to recover. Any financial gift offered here helps them meet their financials needs, medical bills and reduced income, allowing them to focus on what is most important.
