Conan's Send-off

For those of you who don't know Conan, he was many things - brilliant medical student and researcher,  dashing fashionista, aspiring dancer, bold amateur chef, and above all else, a kind soul who always cared for his family and friends. Conan fought a hard battle with cancer for a year, but he passed away due to complications with pneumonia shortly after returning for his third year of medical school. He was 29 years old and leaves behind his parents, Solomon and Pauline, and his younger brother Ernest.

The legacy that Conan leaves behind is a story of unending patience and kindness. Despite all the challenges Conan faced in life, he never let himself become bitter or upset at his misfortunes. No matter how large a problem he faced, he treated it as just a temporary setback, using his all-too-recognizable expression "it's not ideal, but we'll figure it out."  His small acts of friendship made him the cornerstone of many friend groups, whether by his frequent phone calls or his many hand-drawn holiday cards sent throughout the year. He lived life to the fullest, always trying out new activities whether it's learning how to ballroom dance while working on his MPH at Harvard or trying a new recipe for a dinner party with friends. Despite how short Conan's time was here on Earth, his story will live on in all of the lives he has touched and inspired.

We're raising funds to help Conan's family pay for the expenses of his memorial service. Between the airfare, housing, and funeral services, the costs have added up quite quickly, and we're trying our best to ease the hardship of his parents and brother as much as possible. One hundred percent of the funds raised will go to Conan's family.
