Community Funeral Flower Expenses

$125 of $2,000 goal

Raised by 4 people in 12 months
Seasons of Life, Inc is a 501(C)(3) organization dedicated to serving members of our community’s funeral service needs by providing floral arrangements to help reduce the costs of a final farewell.

With future plans for organization growth, we aim to expand our services to short term housing for those who are long distance and have a loved one in a local hospital. This way, the spouse and child(ren) can remain close and be able to function better in their day to day lives by not being far away from the person receiving hospitalized care.

Regarding the fire in Butte County.

As of the evening of 11/21/2018, there are 46,031 people who have been evacuated; 870 people still missing; and 81 people deceased, with only 64 of those identified. Thousands of structures have burned; over 12,600 of those were homes, and 410 were businesses. There have been over 152,000 acres burned with the fire is at 75% containment.

Though reportedly there are nearly 2,000 animals in emergency shelters, there is no count on the number of animals injured, missing or found dead. As I am sure you are aware, this fire that has also made our air quality currently the worst in the world.

I am very concerned, as we now have severe weather conditions approaching our region, consisting of rainstorm after rainstorm. While this rain will help with firefighting efforts, it will also create landslides as well as severely inhibit the efforts to find those who are missing and presumed dead. I shudder to imagine what these families are going through – fearing that their loved ones perished in the fire and worrying that their remains may never be found. This tragedy comes at a time when families traditionally come together to share a meal and be thankful for one another. Sadly, we have families that are mourning their lost loved ones – and others who are waiting to hear if their family members are those who have yet to be identified. The magnitude of this tragedy can best be seen in the story of the grandfather who spoke to his grandchildren and wife until they were no longer alive. These are his last memories of those he cherished. This is the reality of too many. They have lost their homes, their vehicles, their memories, their lives.

While physical donation sites are closed, families are being adopted, FEMA has stepped in, insurance companies are assisting, and the fire is slowly but surely being contained, we still have at least 81 souls that have perished. These families will also need help with funerals and memorials for their loved ones.

Despite the tragic means of death and the overwhelming loss, it is basic human nature to want to honor those we have lost.

Death, although spoken of only when one must, is a very real part of life. With that being said, I would like to ask you to consider donating to funding for memorials and funerals. We often don’t think about these things as a need for families who have lost so much.

As the owner of an events and floral company, I was inspired earlier this year to begin a non-profit, called Seasons of Life, Inc. Seasons of Life provides floral arrangements for those who cannot afford them for their loved ones’ final services. While flowers may seem insignificant, the beauty of such creations can often help a family remember the beauty of the life that they have lost.

Part of my process is to do custom arrangements that truly honor the life of the deceased. I spend time talking with the family to learn who their loved one truly was, and the things that mattered to them. I strive to capture the essence of a life that is no longer with us.

Custom floral arrangements can help provide some joy to the ones left with nothing more than memories. Families can feel that their last honoring of a person was full of love and respect, and truly captured the essence of their loved one.

I hope that you will consider my request.

Thank you to those that donate to Seasons of Life, Inc. In part the donations helped pay for this family's casket piece and a standing piece; this arrangement is a match to those that were made for the family to take home in a keepsake container. I was asked to do all white, when I asked what color was the child's favorite color, the mom said Orange. So we agreed for me to tip a few of the flowers with orange to give it a touch of personalization. It is my hope that we can gradually gain enough donations and recognition that the costs of funeral flowers won't be partially funded but rather fully funded. Remember you can also use smile.amazon.com to donate part of your purchases to your charity of choice be it ours or another. #seasonsoflifeinc #zindagieventssacramento #funeral #nonprofit #funeralflowers #whitefuneralflowers #donate #charity

The focus now is for 16 year old Timothy Jeter. Please consider a donation to help with the cost of funeral flowers. Every little bit adds up, let's give this mom a little relief so she has one less thing to financially plan for. She's an amazing woman who works hard at work and at home for her family and has always been there for her coworkers - I know, I used to be one of her coworkers.

There are a lot of false charity organizations out there, so I know it makes it difficult for those that want to give to make sure their donation is going to a real non profit organization. We are fairly new and trying to get our feet off the ground therefore we don't have much of a background to research yet. So, I'm providing this link to the IRS website where you can see for yourself we are a legitimate charitable organization.
https://apps.irs.gov/app/eos/pub78Search.do… . Our EIN is 81-2822997.
Whether you are donating to us or other organizations, please use the IRS website to check for the status of your charity of choice to make sure your donations are being received by an actual charity, not someone's personal pockets.
