Community Workshop Fundraiser

Over the course of the last 3 months, 12 HND students at Milton Keynes College have been working together to organise a pop-up exhibition entitled "Reveal" which will showcase a variety of art, photography and graphics work reflecting their personal styles and ambitions as practitioners.

Leading up to this event, these students have been working relentlessly over the last 2 years on a variety of projects and developing their skills and individual style as part of their Higher National Diplomas. When reflecting on their student journey the team noted that they have been supported thanklessly by the Westbury Art Centre on a number of occasions, allowing them to display work and host critiques as part of their course. 

With this in mind, the "Reveal" team have decided to fundraise as part of their exhibition with the desire to donate a thank you gift to Westbury Arts Centre. We feel the most suitable gift to donate is a fund for a community workshop that would be acccessible to children and families in Milton Keynes and would also conincide with their charitable aim of:

"To help to promote, maintain, improve and advance education and appreciation of the arts in all forms among the people of Milton Keynes and the surrounding area."

We would like to raise at least £85 for the centre by 5th June 2019, which would pay for a tutor and art materials for a workshop that will be held at their next event - the MK Open 2019, that will be held on 13/14th July 2019.
