Community Change Project
Background:
As part of my Social Work master program from Marywood University, I'm working on a community change class project.
Purpose:
Evaluate the needs of a specific community and propose an intervention designed to address a need/problem/area of improvement within that community. For my project, I chose to have a handicap accessible door installed in the Schnecksville Fire House.
Donations Needed:
The main goal is to raise money to assist in the construction and installation of the door. PLEASE NOTE: If, for some reason, the door cannot be installed, all proceedings will be donated directly to the Schnecksville Fire House. As part of my fundraising outside of the GoFundMe, I created a suggestion box with questions to gain community support not only regarding my project, but to hear my community regarding; thoughts, concerns and opinions about what they think could benefit the Schnecksville Fire House. i.e. (Resources, Events, Bingo, Breakfast etc.) My intentions are to take the suggestions made about; areas of improvement or need for resources, and direct the use of this money towards the majority request (if door is not installed).
