Building a Home for The Comic Vibe

Tony Roney's Comic Vibe began as a comedy platform in 1995.  It was created by CEO/Founder, Tony Roney , to have a consistency in performing and giving his gift of laughter.  The Comic Vibe also allowed other Comedians the opportunity to showcase their talent when opportunities gradually presented themselves. 

A subsidiary of LAFF Entertainment , Tony Roney's Comic Vibe became a vehicle for Talent, both legendary and unknown, to help steer them into stardom.  Working with Comedians such as Downtown Tony Brown (Def Comedy Jam), Tony Roberts (Shaq's Comedy All-Stars), Spanky Hayes (MTV's Wild'N Out), Howie Bell (P. Diddy presents The Bad Boys of Comedy) and Tony Roney (BET Comic View).  See the Comedy Gallery for a glimpse of our past, present and future shows.

Tony Roney's Comic Vibe is in need of a permanent location to call home.  A place that not only showcases Talent but, enables the community to have a dedicated venue for quality entertainment.  Several comedy clubs have come and gone in the city of Detroit, despite having some of the best Talent in the industry.  The venue would be a commemorative establishment for Comedians, a flagship of comedy.  Def Comedy Jam meets Hockeytown!

Currently, we are housed in two separate facilities (Bert's Market Place and Starter's Bar & Grill ).  Despite the long term relationships with both venues, Tony Roney's Comic Vibe is limited in capacity as well as demographics.  We would like to be centrally located to better accommodate our growing fan base and Comedic Talent.  Tony Roney's Comic Vibe Comedy Club will not only be a mecca for comedy entertainment but, a place for incredible food , drinks, shopping and lounging.  It will also be a venue for catering to our charitible activities through our CARE2LAFF Foundation and other collaborative organizations.

The projected timeframe for having a permanent location is by December 2017.  The funds will be allocated as follows:

* acquiring the establishment
* obtaining/maintaining the liquor license
* making the necessary adjustments/repairs (if needed)
* inventory
* hiring personnel
* signage/advertising
* promotional materials
* equipment

To be afforded this opportunity would not only mean a great deal to LAFF Entertainment and Tony Roney's Comic Vibe but, to the community as well.  The city deserves to have a centralized location to celebrate the plethora of Talent that overflows.  You shouldn't have to cross multiple city lines, go to another state or wait for a seasonal tour to witness some of the best entertainment in the industry.
