Collinsville HOSA Student Trip

Donation protected
Six Collinsville Area Vocational Center students won first place in state HOSA competition -- earning the privilege of respesenting Illinois at HOSA Nationals in Orlando, FL.

A few of the students need financial help to attend the once-in-a-lifetime conference and competition.  The students and chapter sponsor want everyone to have a chance to participate.

The team of Nicholas Shepherd and Holly Gebke took first place in Forensic Medicine.  Nick is a sophmore who has overcome many personal obstacles, including Austism, to excel.  Holly, a senior, will advance her studies in college next year.

Also qualifying for national competition:  Mikayla King (Medical Law & Ethics), Lauren Phillips and Megan Bock (Behavioral Health Knowledge), Tiffany Coats (Nursing Assisting, Growth & Development Knowledge) and Arryanna Griffin (Dental Terminology, Job Seeking Skills).

HOSA is the foremost student group for future healthcare professionals.  The Collinsville Area Vocational Center serves students from Collinsville, Mascoutah, Dupo, Lebanon and Triad school districts.

The national competition offers wonderful opportunities to earn college scholarships.

Please help these HOSA students advance their career aspirations by attending the national competition in Orlando, FL June 21-25, 2017.
