Colleen's Hospital Fund

For the past 23 years Colleen D'Amico has been making lives better in the advertising industry by spreading the gospel of Source Creative, the database most agency and production people rely on every day. As Director of Sales for the operation she has made a multitude of friends while creating and maintaining clients for her long-time employer.

Now Colleen needs our help: She was diagnosed with Guillain-Barre syndrome a few weeks ago. She has a severe case of it (if you don't know about this disease look it up--it's not pretty), and it's been touch and go until this weekend: Finally, her prognosis is on the upswing. It will be a while still before Colleen knows whether or when she can return to her job. But insurance and disability won't cover all her hospital bills and her sure-to-be-extensive rehabilitation therapy.

Colleen is normally an active and cheerful person, which is why it is so heartbreaking to imagine her in the hospital unable to pick up a phone to call her family or to laugh at a joke. She has always been incredibly generous with her time and her friendship. Now it's our turn to give back to Colleen, whether you can afford a little or a lot please give what you can to help ease her financial worries during a time filled with enough concern already for her physical well being.

Her dear friend, John Pires, has Colleen's power of attorney while she remains in the hospital and until she is back on her feet. Her condition has improved in the nearly two weeks since we started this campaign, and the contributions and expressions of support and hope are keeping her spirits up! Thanks to all.
