Help Cole and His Family

In June of 2015 when Cole was 15 months old he was diagnosed with stage 4 hepatoblastoma (liver cancer) with metastasis to the lungs and a full blockage of his IVC.  The oncology team at Sick Kids Hospital put him on a new treatment plan never used at sick kids before. Cole went through a very intense treatment of chemotherapy (the most they have ever given a child with hepatoblastoma). During the 5 months of his treatment plan he had multiple admissions for neutrapenia, high fevers and blood and platelet transfusions. His Family was told that his lungs would need to be cancer free in order to be eligible to receive a new liver.  Miraculously Cole's tumor was very receptive to chemotherapy and the tumor in his liver shrunk enough to allow for a resection. On October 29 Cole underwent a 9 hour surgery wherein they did a 75% liver resection and reconstructed his IVC.  Today, Cole continues to recieve treatment, and his family continues to care for him. I would like to help them in any way that I can and as a family friend, I have started this fund in hopes of raising money for the family, so they can put all of their effort into making sure cole gets the best care availlable.
