Help for Cole “The Beast” Nagy’s parents!
As we all know the ongoing fires in both North and Southern California have caused incredible heartache with the tragic loss of many lives. Thousands of others face severe hardship and displacement through the loss their homes.
Cole “The Beast” Nagy (one of our best and longest standing trainers here at HIT Fit SF) grew up in Paradise with his sister Courtney and his mom and dad Cheryl and Steve (pictured above). Paradise was Ground Zero for the fires raging up north.
Sadly, Cole got confirmation earlier this week that his family home where Steve and Cheryl still lived was lost to the fire. His parents luckily evacuated in time and are safe but devastated at the loss. Steve is a Vietnam veteran and a retired cement worker - and Cheryl worked as a librarian in a local school which was also burned to the ground.
Cole's parents have lost EVERYTHING. Their home, their land, their income and all their personal possessions. They were smart enough to have insurance….but it will likely be slow coming in, as it is in all large scale catastrophes.
Folks, we all know Cole brings it 100% every time he comes to the gym to, help us get fitter and stronger through his amazing classes and Boot Camps. Let’s show our homeboy some love, by donating what we can to help his family during this very tough time.
We are also collecting the following supplies at the gym and will be sending them to Butte County for general distribution. Many donation centers are not accepting donations anymore, but the Oroville Hope Center has asked for the following items.
- Men's pants - all sizes
- Tents & air mattresses
- Men's shoes
- Sleeping bags & heavy blankets
- Underwear (kids and adults)
- Non-perishable foods + can openers
- Towels
- Folding chairs
- Non-latex gloves
- Hair brushes & hair ties
- Tarps
