*** UPDATE*** All of you beautiful people are so amazing! Watching a community of people come together and offer their resources to help Coach Freelove in moment in need is incredibly humbling and inspiring. I thank all of you from the bottom of my heart. -Coach Justin
Here is the downside. You may have noticed the amount we are trying to fundraise has risen to $15,000 We recieved word this morning from the Doctors that Freelove has a full ACL tear and will require a full ACL repair surgery. We are raising additional funds as these surgeries tend to cost $15K - $20K. Thank you all for your continued support, words of encouragement, and help. You are all inspiring.

We all have people in our lives that influence us in one way or another.  They’re teachers and students, friends and family, coaches and competitors, and more often than not with social media they’re relative strangers.  The point remains that everyone has the potential to affect the lives of others deeply.  Even more precious are those who have the distinct honor of being able to positively enrich the lives of children and young adults.

For those who don’t know Richard, or [Coach] Freelove as most of us know him, it’s because they haven’t yet had the unique pleasure.  By the power of technology, we can virtually change that with a demonstration of actions speaking louder than words, otherwise known as an introduction video.  And for those who do know him, enjoy a video of Freelove doing what he does best.

Now that you know Coach Freelove, allow me to discuss the meat and potatoes of the why this page now exists.  At a recent competition in Las Vegas at HKPK, he experienced what could be a catastrophic knee injury.  The extent of that injury is still unknown, and as his stubborn friends we are exhausting as many avenues as possible to help him pay for not only the medical treatment, but his living expenses due to the fact that his physical ability to coach (and therefore earn an income) has been diminished.   As an exceptional athlete with an expansive positive influence on not only his students of all ages, but throughout the parkour and freerunning community, time is obviously of the essence with this sort of injury.  This is why his friends have decided to test his pride by setting up this page to raise funds to assist him through this less than delightful situation.

Coach Freelove needs our help (though he will never admit it) to help him afford:
MRIs to assess the damage to his knee ligaments.
If necessary, the cost of surgery to repair said damage.
Physical Therapy to help him recover from this injury.
Covering his cost of living as rent, utlitities, and food are hard to come by when you can not coach and earn a living.

Thank you all for your consideration and helping an amazing human being in need. Every bit you can donate will help make a long lasting benefit to a man who has sacrificed so much of himself to help teach, train, and influence the next generation of young athletes.
