Gracias.

In light of recent catastrophes suffered by both Mexico with Earthquakes and Puerto Rico with Hurricanes Irma and Maria, we at the Latino Chamber of Commerce have setup a fund to help communities in need.
We more than anything would love to be present with booths on the ground, but we can also do our part from here by sending much needed funds for food, clean water, clothing and shelter. Help us help our Latin American communities in dire need. Many of us have families and friends directly affected by these recent events. Thank you!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
WHO WE ARE: We are the Latino Chamber of Commerce located at 332 Main St, Longmont, CO. We're an entity registered with the State of Colorado and with the Federal Government, FEIN: 20-1467359
WHO ARE WE HELPING: Thanks to volunteers we will have on site on both Puerto Rico & Mexico we will have boots on the ground identifying families and individuals who have been directly affected by these tragedies. We initially were going to donate to Topos in Mexico, but they prefer we directly benefit the families in need rather than going through an organization on site who will absorb too many administrative costs. We are all volunteers.
Short term we will be concentrating on providing essential necessities like clean drinking water, canned goods, clothing, medicine and personal higiene items, pillows, blankets, etc. We will also be working with organizations that will help rebuild homes and lives as a long term impact.
In Mexico, we will be tranferring the funds to a bank account in Mexico to disburse the funds and fully document these transactions for accounting and accountability and impact purposes.
In Puerto Rico, since the territory is already U.S. land, we will disburse the funds directly from the Latino Chamber bank account that they will be deposited to and checks will be disbursed and traced to account for every cent.
As we disburse funds, we will periodically issue reports to donors and the public and media to let them know what our impact has been.
