Clinical and Ancient Psychology Programme

It’s time to talk about my next adventure!

In August I will be joining a group of students for two weeks on an immersive educational experience to India, with SLV Global (psychology work experience organisation); in partnership with the National Institute of Mental Health and Neuroscience NIMHANS and the School of Ancient Wisdom.  

I am asking for donations, big or small, to support me through this exciting experience. 

I am currently at Manchester Metropolitan University studying Psychology. This is an extraordinary opportunity for me to use the material I am learning in lectures and apply it to different cultures and environments. 

During the programme we will be invited to explore how ancient Eastern techniques can complement modern methods to treat mental health concerns, in both clinical and community settings. 

The first week will involve; visiting the NINHANS outreach center, promoting positive mental health in the community and looking into therapy techniques such as; mindfulness, meditation and yoga therapy. 

The second week is more focused around Indian culture and is spent travelling by land and sea around the south western coast of India. 

I hope to come away from this trip with a greater insight into what I can do to improve mental wellbeing across the world. Your donations will get me one step closer!
