Jim Poyser (playwright), Raphael Schwartzman (director), and the cast and crew need your help to produce the new comedy The Climate Follies at the Indianapolis Fringe Festival in August 2020 and beyond.
What is The Climate Follies?
Jim Poyser’s world premiere of The Climate Follies is a comedy about the unfunniest thing ever: the climate emergency.
Over a dozen short plays explore our unraveling climate system and the human response — or lack thereof. Oh, and it’s a work-in-progress, so the script will evolve with feedback from a talented cast, as well as whatever fresh new hell knocks on Earth’s door between now and closing night.
Six actors present these pieces by acting multiple characters and using song, dance, clowning, puppetry, Foley sound effects and any other performance forms. The production will be as low waste and carbon neutral as humanly possible.
