Clifton's Emergency Lung Surgery

On April 8th, our beloved puppy was playing outside and took a bite out of a neighbours thorn bush. Since then he's been in an out of emergency vet clinics, unable to sleep, eat, or breath properly. After many tests, the diagnosis is now known to be a punctured lung due to inhaling one of the thorns. There is air leaking out of his lungs and into his chest, which is preventing his lungs from fully expanding. He is only a year and a half old, and otherwise in perfect health. The doctors are confident he will make a full recovery if he receives this surgery to remove the affected part of his lung. Due to his size and the urgency of this surgery it will be quite expensive. We are asking for any help you can possibly offer to help us save his life.

We have already paid just over $3000 in X-Rays, pain medication, over night stays, and overall diagnosis. The $5000 we hope to raise with this campaign will be used to help off-set the cost of the actual surgery and the recovery time in the hospital. 


We've had Clifton since he was 2 months old and he is such an important part of our family. He is our only child and he is so loved. Everyone he meets falls in love with his sweet, gentle, goofy nature.  He loves walking around downtown and meeting people. He is a love magnet - people don't often see such giant puppies so they can't help but to run up and give him a cuddle or take a picture with him. He soaks up every second of it.  

We hugely appreciate you taking the time to read about what Clifton is going through. Any little bit helps and Clifton personally promises to give each one of you a huge cuddle or horse back ride once he feels like himself again.
