Today, I'd like to invite you to become a partner in our “Cleft Surgeries 4 Africa” project. Yes! Love Without Reason’s team of surgeons are going to Zimbabwe on June 9th, 2017, to provide 60 children with cleft surgeries in 6 days.
During our February visit, Dr. Mohamva, Chief Craniofacial Surgeon, Harare Hospital, told us that there is a 5-year backlog for children with cleft deformities. As you partners are aware, if a child does not receive a cleft palate surgery within the first 15 months, he or she may never talk! Just imagining Philip in this situation motivated us to break this cycle.
The challenge is to raise $50,000 to provide 60 children with free surgeries. The funds raised will be used to conduct medical camps, bring craniofacial surgeons, anesthetists, and necessary surgical and medical equipment to Zimbabwe.
Together, we will tear down the years of backlog, and bring transformation to the faces of Zimbabwe!
To achieve our challenge of $50,000. May I ask you to pray about your gift? Of course, the amount is up to you. Gifts of all sizes will be cheerfully accepted as they are cheerfully given – “God loves a cheerful giver” (2 Corinthians 9:7). Any gift amount will help make a change in the lives of these children.
