Clayton VanLanduyt was diagnosed with pediatric neuroblastoma on August 8, 2017 . He was 18 months old at the time. After a long two year battle, he beat it, he beat cancer! And, although his vision has been impacted and impaired as the tumor was on his optic never - he was on his way to being a kid again.
Sadly, during his three month check-up the doctors discovered a new tumor on his back, around his spine and scans revealed more spots. There is a fear that the disease has entered his bone marrow. This means our littlest warrior has to endure another bout of chemo - 17 rounds this time! The 17 cycles will require Clayton to be in the hospital for one week for treatment and then he gets to go home for two weeks to recover. The team at Johns Hopkins - St. Petersburg, where Clayton will be initially treated, are taking great care of him, but this is not an inexpensive endeavor.
Although Clayton's mom and dad have health insurance, the deductible is unbelievably high. The deductible along with the other expenses that they will face on this long path will be more than one family should bear.
Clayton, now almost four years old, will never give up! And he is now asking for your prayers, love and support. Any amount will go a long way to helping his parents focus on him and the family rather than the crushing fear of expenses. In addition to your donation, please send prayers and good thoughts to him, his family and the treatment team.
