Clarice the abused Rottweiler pup

Clarice is a 7-week old Rottweiller puppy who was just rescued by The Pixel Fund in Florida.  She has been severely abused and was found with a jaw that was broken and degloved.  What does "degloved" mean you ask?  It means that the skin and muscle and tendons were ripped away from the jaw.  Yes it is as horrible as it sounds. 

This is a picture of the injury, Clarice's mouth is closed.  Its a bit blurry but you can see that the pink is the lower jaw and the surrounding flesh, the black part hanging below is the skin and muscle that shouldn't be hanging like that.  This is what a degloved injury looks like, and it is absolutely heartbreaking.

Clarice is loving and deperately wants to give and receive attention, which is pretty amazing considering what she has gone through in her short life.  She is being kept comfortable until Monday when she can go for surgery to set the fractured jaw and reattach the skin and muscle to the jawbone.  

As you can imagine, it will be an expensive procedure and as The Pixel Fund is an all-volunteer rescue group, we rely on the kindness and donations of our community and through campaigns like this to help.  

Clarice is safe now but she has a long road to full recovery.  Can you find room in the Christmas budget to help this beautiful puppy?
