Honor Flight Travel Companion

My father, Clarence Hammer, served in the United States Marine Corps during WWII. The major function of his platoon was to help secure Guam from the Japanese. During that time he experienced ground combat for three months losing several friends in battle while narrowly escaping sniper bullets himself. In addition to his service there, he also spent one year in China to repatriate Japanese prisoners of war. My hero, along with other senior veterans, has been selected by the Honor Flight Organization to travel to Washington D.C. to visit and reflect at their memorials. This once in a lifetime opportunity to see the memorial wall where his name is engraved has been a dream of my dad's for many years.
While Honor Flight covers most of my dad's expenses, his required traveling companion (that's me) expenses are not covered. With your help, I will be able to assist my dad and hero on his journey.
