Schoolbags for students in Punjab

On my last visit to Nakodar, Punjab, I was able to donate a writing book and writing materials for each of the 120 students with the $72 AU raised from my last gofundme campaign. (Click here for more on my last visit https://www.oldwiselovers.com/pages/projects).

This time around, the students of Nakodar Primary School need funding for new school bags. With 120 students; and school bags priced at 300 Rupees ($6AU) I am looking at raising $720.

Why should we support these children you ask?
The Primary school of Nakodar is specifically running for the less fortunate in the community. Giving children from poor families the chance to attend school and break the cycle of following their parents as beggars, essentially giving innocent souls a chance. 

How do we know they will use the money correctly?
India is a very corrupt country, that is true. I myself would not send money overseas to a person who may not use it for the correct intentions listed. However, I have developed a trusting relationship with the principal of the school and instead of sending cheques of money I prefer to purchase the goods and physically give them to each of the children. Cutting out the concern and worry we all have when donating money to foreign causes.

Seeing the children's faces when I donated the stationary was priceless.
