City of Laredo Spelling Bee Champ

Hello Laredo! We are extremely proud to announce Mia J. Cuevas will be representing Laredo at the Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington DC. She has won the LISD District Spelling bee twice in a row and she recently won 1st place in the 2019 City Spelling Bee. She will now be moving on to Nationals! She is being sponsored by the Laredo Morning Times, but we are asking the community for support with the expenses to bring her two little siblings along to cheer her up in this competition. Mia has dedicated countless hours of study to prepare for this competition. She is an amazing daughter, student, and really involved in the community. She has helped create Autism awareness in schools by doing presentations in elementary schools and conferences. Overall Mia is a really dedicated student and citizen of Laredo. We want to thank you in advance, your donation will be really appreciated. Thank you so much!
