Hi, my name is Liliana Calderón.
I am a single mom of a lovely boy. I take care of my parents who can no longer work because of their advanced age. Allow me to tell you my story.
I practically grew up in hospitals, specifically, Children's Cardiology in Mexico City due to a congenital defect called Tetralogy of Fallot, which are 4 malformations in the heart. I had to be operated at age one to be able to resist the next operation at age nine. At the hospital ofCardiology, medical personnel knew me as the miracle of the Children's Hospital, since no other children with this malformation had survived. My parents nor I believed I would make it to ten years old, but I did it with difficulty. Earlier this year, I was informed that in order to live, I will need a third open heart surgery, which is even more complicated than the previous procedures due to my age. This surgery requires a pulmonary valve and trimming of the right ventricle. I come to you because I do not have the necessary monetary resources for my operation. I only have a few months left unless I have this much needed surgery.

Mi nombre es Liliana Calderón soy madre soltera y cuido de mis padres quienes por su edad ya no pueden trabajar. Esta es mi historia; Prácticamente desde que nací, crecí en hospitales, específicamente Cardiología Infantil en la Ciudad de México debido a un defecto congénito llamado Tetralogía de Fallot que son 4 malformaciones en el corazón. Tuve que ser operada a mi primer año de edad para poder resistir la siguiente operación a los 9 años de edad. En Cardiología me conocen como el milagro del hospital Infantil ya que ningún niño que conocí con esta malformación habría sobrevivido, ni mis padres ni yo misma creíamos que en esta condición yo podría vivir hasta los 10 años de edad. A principio de este año me informaron que para seguir con vida necesitare una tercera cirugía aún más complicada a corazón abierto, esta requiere una válvula pulmonar y recorte del ventrículo derecho. Acudo a ti porque no cuento con recursos necesarios para mi operación y solo cuento con pocos meses para poder resistir con vida.
