Circus Study tour

In 2016, twenty aspiring performers, athletes, musicians and dancers, were accepted into the elite training program of their dream career – the opportunity to become a professional circus artist. The Bachelor of Circus Arts at Australia’s only accredited circus school, the National Institue of Circus Arts (NICA), has offered us the ability to train with some of the world’s best coaches and we are well on the way to achieving our goals. After completing our first year of training, many accomplishments, feats of strength (and conditioning), disasters, injuries, and blood sweat and tears, we have become family.

A smart man once said the purpose of life is “…to solve problems, and create things”. Training. Creating. Pushing boundaries. Limitless ideas. Fearlessness. Collaboration. This is what we do, every day.

We are so lucky to be surrounded by an amazing community of peers, graduates, teachers, and family that support us in our aspirations. In 2017 NICA has given us the opportunity to travel on an international Study Tour to further our horizons. On this study tour we will establish professional connections, develop fundamentals to become better artists, and have some amazing opportunities at international circus festivals.

Unfortunately we don’t all have the funds and capacity to make this trip happen. We have been working tirelessly trying to raise as much funding as possible to lower our expenses to give everyone in our year the best opportunity to participate. With your help you will lower the costs of travelling overseas for us university students which will allow us to experience this amazing opportunity. All contributions are greatly appreciated and even the small ones mean the world for us because little bit counts and will help lower the costs of this amazing overseas experience, and enable us university students to receive a broader education.
