My name is Tim. I'm an independent composer and musician living in the fine city of Grand Rapids, Michigan. I write a lot of music of various kinds and I produce and release songs using the name 'types.'
So far, and for which I am incredibly grateful, this campaign has helped me finish recording and producing the 'three ep' and continue development on the rest of the songs originally slated for my first album. I've been writing a lot of new material as well.
The prodicer/recording engineer that I've been working with is Jupiter Jones (a.k.a. Mark Rehl), and in order to continue to make eps and albums with him, I need your help.
With over 20 years of audio production experience under his belt, including 12 years at River City Studios, Jupiter has worked with many Michigan artists including Domestic Problems, Mission Orange, and Kevin Kammeraad's 'The Tomato Collection'. He has written, performed on and/or produced radio and television spots you're sure to have heard if you live in the Grand Rapids, MI area, such as the ‘Sleep Doctor” jingle, and the long-running “Just for the fun of it” which he wrote for Braan’s Steak House. He also wrote and performed the theme music for the Muskegon Fury Hockey Team, and even did some work for both AC/DC and Aerosmith. He has been teaching studio recording at Aquinas College since 1999.
If you could help me further my musical conversation with yourself and others like you, I will always be grateful. And in order to have more time to make my art and continued access to a producer who can help me bring my vision to life, I need your help.
If you can donate anything, be it one dollar or a hundred, it would go a long way towards helping me finish the group of eps I'm working on, and in making music for the rest of my life.
You can find all of my released music on my youtube channel and my bandcamp, which includes some of my demos, ambient and electronic work, a Bowie impersonation, etc.
Peace and love and thank yous to you all,
I have decided to release the album as a series of eps on a slower time-frame. This is cheaper to produce though it takes longer as I am taking on the role of sound engineer as much as possible. If the goal is fully funded, we will be able to release the album with remixed and remastered versions of many songs, along with extended versions, alternate versions, and possibly just more songs in general.
THANK YOU for all of your support!
