Christopher's 3 Jars Campaign
Tax deductible
Hi! My name is Christopher, a 6th grader in Seattle, and I am launching "Christopher's 3 Jars Campaign" to help 12 students to go to school in Haiti. It costs $78/year to support one student. My goal is to raise $936 by Thanksgiving. Subscribe to project updates to see how I am progressing. Thank you for your support.
I have been involved in supporting charities for the past 4 years. Growing up, my parents stressed the importance of giving back to the community and encouraged my sister Ariana and I to always think of ways to give and help others.
What is "Christopher's 3 Jars Campaign? Real easy. I simply use 3 Jars! Every week I get my allowance, I put some money in my “Spending" jar, some in my “Saving” jar, and then some in my “Giving” jar. So far with the funds from my “Giving Jar” I have been able to purchase two chickens and two stoves through Heifer International Charity.
This year, I was looking for another charity and my Mom helped me research a few foundations including Mona Foundation , a charity that she trusts and donates to. I researched the Mona Foundation and decided to donate all my “Giving” jar, AND a part of my Christmas gift money, for a total of $226.60, to SunFlower mission project which Mona Foundation supports because they educate children that really need it.
Education is really important because it provides people with opportunities to support a family and make a difference in the world.” This is why I am launching the Christopher’s 3 Jars campaign. I need your help to raise $936 by Thanksgiving, to support 13 students at Georges Marcellus, a program supported by Mona that educates some of the poorest children in Haiti.
I also want to encourage everyone, no matter what age, to make their own 3 jars Campaign! Spend some and enjoy life; Save some for future, AND Give some to make a difference and build a better world for all children. It’s small thing that can make a big impact! Leave a comment on this page if you want to launch your own campaign and let me know.
Thanks for your help.
Christopher
UPDATE: Due to the success of the campaign so far, I am excited to announce that I am DOUBLING my original goal of supporting 6 students, and will be now be raising money to support 12 students at Georges Marcellus! I want to thank everyone who has contributed so far and the people who have been inspired to start their own SPEND SAVE GIVE campaigns. I am extremely grateful to be able to continue to share my fundraising journey with you all!
