Christmas for Leighton Pullin

Donation protected
As many of you know Leighton Pullin was struck by a truck Octomber 18th of 2016. That left him lifeless and fighting for his life with many unsured days of not knowing if little Leighton was even going to make with his high ICP’s (brain pressure level) to unstable vitals but he kept fighting. As Holidays are approaching and Christmas is near. I was talking with Melisa tonight and we found out the guy who hit Leighton his insurance is NOT paying out to help with Leighton’s medical expenses. Melissa is responsible for all costs for his medical stay and current rehab. she hasn’t been able to work since the accident. Leighton suffered cranial Edema, increased cranial pressure , both his left arm and leg are broken. They flew Leighton to Iowa City where he endured a 9 hour brain surgery to repair damage with his brain and fractured skull and place a bolt in his head to help with the fluid to drain. Leighton’s Brain pressure level got so high they were going to have to remove his skull flap. His eye were fixed and dialated which us little to no hope for our little warrior, but nothing stopped Leighton. Days of putting Leighton in and out of medical induced coma’s with a few weeks and some time. On November 16th 2016 they removed Leightons ventilator and placed a trach. He no long has Iv’s since they placed a G-tubed (feeding tube) I went and seen Leighton and he knew I was there he was tugging on my clothes and following me with his eyes and squeezing my hands when I said I had to leave. November 25th Leighton was transferred to Covenant Medical center for Rehab and since he has moved there. Leighton has woken up more is smiling, waving, aware of his surroundings. Even talk of removing his trach and start feeding Leighton pudding sometime next week!! Leighton is not verbal but that smile speaks a million words!!!!! Do you believe in miracles?!? I sure do so this is why I am setting up a Go fund me to help with the expenses Melisa is being stuck with since the car insurance is NOT paying out and expended with house hold bills to stay on top, so Leighton has a home to come home too! Also but to help and give Amya and Leighton a Christmas they deserve. Amya wears 3t but could wear 4t for winter and Leighton wears a size 10 in boys. Im also collecting toy donations and can contact myself or Jessica WIrth with any question or concerns
