Fund a Christmas festival for children in Ghana

When you think back on your past Christmas’s, what comes to mind? Whether it is spending time with loved ones, enjoying delicious dinners, attending Christmas events, or giving and receiving gifts, most of us are fortunate enough to experience the joy and magic of the season.
This year I am organising a campaign to help make these holiday joys possible for 200 children in the Buduburam community in Ghana. While volunteering with the non-profit organisation, Future Stars International, I saw first hand the struggles that go on in the community. In Buduburam, people are living below the poverty line, and are living in conditions of low sanitation, poor housing, unemployment, and more. These conditions contribute greatly to malnutrition and starvation; two highly prevalent issues inside the community, thereby impacting the well-being of the children of the community. Future Stars International serves to rescue orphans, and children from the streets, in order to provide them with food, education, love, counselling, and guidance.
This year we want to raise money to fund a unique and memorable Christmas for 200 children in the Buduburam community. The goal for the campaign is €2,500 (about $2,700). This may seem like a large amount, and only a short amount of time to raise it (1 month!), however that’s just €12.50 per child. And with your help, I know we can fund a truly beautiful Christmas festival for these deserving and lovely children! The money will be used for : a nutritious meal for the children, school uniforms, school books and back packs, supplies for the Christmas festival (furniture, sound and music, fun games and activities), and some small toys and gifts for the children to receive.
I can promise you that your money will have an immense impact. Having never experienced something like this before, these children will remember this Christmas for a lifetime.
