I am thrilled to announce that I have been accepted to the summer 2018 Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) Program at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA!

TIMELINE
I will be flying out on May 30 and beginning my full-time internship on June 4. My internship will end on August 17 for a total of almost 80 days and 54 business/weekdays in Los Angeles.
PROGRAM INFO (UNPAID - No stipends available)
The program is a minimum of 40 hours per week; 8:00 a.m.- 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, plus additional hours for On-Call on weeknights. 70% of the time will be dedicated to pastoral care (providing spiritual care to persons in crisis), while 30% of the time will be educational activities (seminars, workshops, etc).
TUITION (Cost: $3,744)
In order to earn academic credits toward my Masters in Divinity at Wesley Theological Seminary for this CPE internship, I must register for 6 credits which are $624 each totaling $3,744.
TRANSPORTATION (Cost: $1200)
Airfare Cost: $660
I have purchased the most affordable airfare ticket I could find for approximately $330 and anticipate that I will find a ticket home for a similar price in August.
Weekday Cost: $540
I will be staying with a dear friend who has an extra bed for me. This will place me only 4.5 miles away from Cedars-Sinai. While this is relatively close, it will require some planning to coordinate transportation daily. My estimate is based on $10/day for weekday transportation for 54 days.
FOOD/LIVING EXPENSES (Cost: $1200)
Based on an estimated daily budget of $15/day.
OTHER
Due to the 2.9% payment processing charge through GoFundMe, I have added $178 to supplement and help me reach my budgeted goal.
