Christian community urgent appeal
Please help the smallest church in Britain to get a bigger building. £50,000 is needed, £100,000 has already been raised!
St.Furseys Orthodox Christian Community was established on 3rd October 1998 by three people with a small chapel in the garden of the home of Father Stephen Weston. It became the smallest functioning church building in Britain and is only 18 feet by 13 feet. It is now far too small for our needs since the community is growing with over 20 persons barely accommodated. The BBC did a small feature on our church this year, please take a look.
We have been looking for a larger accommodation for six years and we have had many disappointments. However, we now have the chance of buying the disused police station in Stalham, Norfolk, which could be enlarged to create a modest sized church with a meeting room.
We are a registered charity (No. 1166650) and donations can be Gift Aided. Donations by cheque should be made payable to "St Furseys Orthodox Community", c/o Father Stephen, St. Fursey's House, 111 Neville Road, Sutton, Norwich, NR12 9RR or direct into our bank account as follows:
Account Name: St Furseys Orthodox Church / Building Fund Account
Sort Code: 60-15-54
Account Number: 73333301
Many Thanks,
Yours in Christ
