My name is Braun Roosa and I am writing this for my dear friend Vincent Brown to try to help honor his beautiful daughter. Vincent's daughter, Christen, was tragically taken from her children and family in the early morning on Thursday, May 11th by her boyfriend who chose to end her young life by a senseless, brainless act of violence. Christen was living her life fully as the mother of three children, boys, Xavier(7), Javius (5) and daughter, Kennedy (2).
I cannot imagine what Vincent and his family are feeling right now as he lost his daughter, her kids lost their mommy and countless other family members and close friends all have lost a beautiful young woman who was taken too soon from all of them due to a horrible act of domestic violence.
Vincent was with me a few minutes ago when I started to create this campaign and I had to plead to him to let me do this as he is not wanting to burden anyone of you, however, I need to do this for him, for his family.
Please let me tell you why I wanted to do this and why I pleaded.....
As he was talking to me about Christen and all the memories that he shared with her in just the few minutes we were together, he looked up at me after silence fell upon us and quitely said, "Braun, I am going to have to cremate her because I don't have the money to do anthing else, I don't even have the money for a headstone." Thats all he had to say...at that very moment I felt like I needed to do something bigger than anything I could personally do alone.
I want to help so much, I want to make sure his baby girl gets her headstone and the proper burial, therefore, I am looking to raise funds in order to pay for this. If you can find it in your heart to donate, Christen's family, her friends and her community will be eternally grateful.
