Christa Horsley is a beautiful 13 year old girl who has been through alot of emotional trauma lately. Obviously, last night the depression became too much and she decided to try to end her own life. Thankfully, our Lord has other plans for her. After everyone went to bed Saturday night, Christa decided to take an entire bottle of muscle relaxers. This morning her parents woke up to her non-responsive body and immediately called 911, many of her organs had begun shutting down by that time. Christa was air lifted to Dallas Children's Hospital and admitted into the ICU immediately. The doctors have said that they do not expect her to wake up for several days but believe they have stabilized her for the time being. Several hours later Christa began to have seizures that have continued through this evening.
Her father and step mother are staying at the Comfort Inn & Suites at 7138 N. Stemmons Freeway Dallas, Tx 75247. Due to Christa being in ICU, the family is not allowed to stay overnight and limited hours throughout the day. Chris and Crystal Horsley (the parents) have 5 children ages ranging from 14 yr old to 5 months. Finances are extremely tight for the family right now. Worrying about things like upcoming school supplies, meals while in Dallas, a place to stay until Christa is moved out of ICU (God willing) and transportation to and from the hospital is just more than they can bear right now. How do you take care of your other babies when you have one whose life could be hanging in the balance?? The whole family is just very very overwhelmed to say the least.
