I am starting  a go fund me page for my niece Kellie and, I hope and pray I can count on your help.  Kellie and her family live in Saint Thomas in the US Virgin Islands.  Hurricane Irma destroyed part of their home, but it could not destroy their faith in God, and I am praying my faith in the human spirit.  Under normal circumstances, I would not ask for help, but they are so overwhelmed, I cannot figure out a quicker way to help them.  I am asking everyone in my family to help out and, I want you to know that if you are a friend of mind; I consider you family.  God has blessed me beyond measure; I love my family, and there is nothing that I would not do to help them, and I know that to whom much is given; much is required.  If you believe the amount of money you could afford to donate will not make a difference, you’re incorrect.  “If you think you are too small to make a difference, you haven’t spent the night with a mosquito.”   If you spent a night with a mosquito, you would know it’s not the size of you that determines the damage you will do, but the amount of your determination you have to do it.

Those who say it can’t be done are usually interrupted by those who are doing it…

On behalf of my niece Kellie and family, I want to thank all of the people who thought it not robbery and donated funds to help her and her family with relief from Hurricane Irma. I choose to believe that all of my friends will donate something because I believe that all of my friends, particularly those who know the Lord, know that we are our brothers and sisters keepers. My friends know the word of God and I do not have to remind them that it was Jesus who said, “Then the king will say to those at his right hand, ‘Come, you that are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world; for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you gave me clothing, I was sick and you took care of me, I was in prison and you visited me.” I agree with Socrates, “Happiness is obtainable by human effort; I agree with Plato, “Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a harder battle; I agree with Ralph Waldo Emerson, “It is one of the most beautiful compensations of this life that no man can sincerely try to help another without helping himself; I agree with Martin Luther King Jr., ‘Life's most persistent and urgent question is, ‘what are you doing for others’? If you think you can’t help because the amount of money you can afford to give will not make a difference: The Gospels of Mark and Luke both relay an incident involving a widow’s gift to God. She didn’t give much—just two mites—or did she? God looks at the heart of the giver, not the gift.

In the time of storm, there are also pearls.
I solicit your prayers on behalf of our brothers and sisters who live in the Caribbean and were adversely impacted by Hurricane Irma. Saint Thomas, US Virgin Islands was almost destroyed by Hurricane Irma. Vincent van Gogh was correct when he said, “The heart of man is very much like the sea, it has its storms, it has its tides and, in its depths it has its pearls too.” “God bless the pearls that donated money to assist Kellie Charles, my niece, who lives in Saint Thomas, US Virgin Islands. Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.
