Children's garden~outdoor classroom

Dear Friends,
Here at Kufunda we are an intentional learning village in Zimbabwe. At present we have a small Waldorf inspired Kindergarten and Primary school. We are creating a beautiful garden as the entrance to the School and are planning to build an outdoor classroom so the children can benefit from learning close to nature.
We are raising money to buy plants, gardening tools and building materials for the outdoor classroom. The economy here in Zimbabwe is at an all time low and so we are reaching out to you, our global community, for financial support and to share the creative journey.
The children have been designing the garden and have chosen the plants they want which include: apple trees, mango trees, papaya trees, lots of herbs and vegtables, as well as flowers. They would also love a fountain and benches to sit on in the garden.
You'll see from the photos that we have begun preparing the ground for the garden and have planted moringa trees that have been grown here from seed.
The outdoor classroom will be made of cob and will have a thatched roof, which is the same as the main classroom. Any extra money that is not used for these projects will be used to build new desks for the existing indoor classrooms.
We have two weeks left this term and then a few weeks holidays to work and complete anything that is not finished before term starts again at the beginning of May.
This project is very exciting and will mark the next chapter of the school that has been running sucessfully for the last 4 years.
