My name is Ryan Cheng, also known as Chengman. I'm a 110m hurdler from Canada that's currently training for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. In addition, I'm a YouTube creator that's documenting my journey through weekly video blogs.

In 2008, I came 1st in the 110m hurdles at the BC High School Track & Field Championships which inspired to compete in the 2012 London Olympics. A year later, I was discouraged from continuing track because I only placed 20th at the Canadian Junior Nationals and felt pressured to figure out my career path. As a result, I retired from the sport.

8 years later, I came across some hurdles while going for a run one day. I set one up and was surprised I could still clear it. At that moment, I remembered my passion for hurdles and how I regret letting my talent go to waste. From that day on, I decided that I would do everything in my power to reach my potential as a 110m hurdler and represent Canada in the next Summer Olympics.

Last year, I shaved 1.14 seconds from my previous time and ranked 23rd in Canada. I'm on track to reducing my time significantly to compete at Nationals in July this year. In order for me reach my potential this year, I need high-quality training to maximize my efforts.

BC Athletics is hosting a training camp in Las Vegas from March 18-25th, 2018 at the UNLV Myron Patridge Stadium with Derek Evely. He is a highly successful coach and athletics educator with expertise in all areas of speed power development.

The camp expenses include:

• Program Fee - $500
• Flights - $783.58
• Accommodation - $550-600
• Food - $300

The weather in Vancouver has been really cold lately which hasn't allowed me to train properly. I've encountered minor injuries because of this and I desperately need warm weather. This opportunity will enable me to accelerate my training and ultimately prepare me for my season opener on March 30th.

If you're able to donate as little as $5, it would be greatly appreciated! Alternatively, you can grab some merch from my store or share this so more people can learn about my story.
