Chelsea's Cancer Journey

Chelsea Brandt is a 2013 graduate of West Islip High School and 2017 graduate of SUNY Oneonta. During her time on our campus, Chelsea was a very friendly, charismatic, and dedicated student that was willing to help any and everyone. During her time as SUNY OnMark's President, she guided many of her peers in the direction of becoming a successful young professional. This impact was clear to us current members when she came back to Oneonta each of the last two years as a guest speaker for our club. Chelsea's advice was not only on a professional level, but she truly connected herself to the current student, making anything seem possible if you put your mind to it.

On March 7th 2019, Chelsea's positive attitude and character rose to the occasion upon learning she had Stage 4 Hodgkin's Lymphoma.  Her continued strength and optimism directed her to create a blog, sharing her trials, tribulations and experiences for others in their early 20's battling similar difficulties. Chelsea's dedication to continue to live her best life should serve as an inspiration to all.
 
Unfortunately due to health care coverage complications, medical bills are adding up.  To assist Chelsea on her journey through her last day of Chemotherapy on September 9th, donations of any size will be greatly appreciated!
