Help Chef Steve get to China to participate in the The 33rd Harbin Ice and Snow Festival 2017! The 33rd Harbin International Ice and Snow Sculpture Festival opens with a theme "Ice Snow Joy Ode, Meet in Harbin" on January 4 in 2017. The festival is featured by main theme parks - Sun Island Snow Sculpture Expo, Ice and Snow Amusement World, Zhaolin Park Ice Lantern Fair, as well as grand opening ceremony, fireworks display and a series of theatrical performances, ice snow activities in and more venues around ice city Harbin.
Steve and his partner will be competing against other international ice carvers at this exciting annual festival. We at the RGC appreciate everything Steve does for us, and we hope that this holiday season you will help Steve to take the long flight to China and win his title! Any donation would help.

Rusty Cox and Steve Buzak have been competitively carving ice internationally for over 15 years. It all started from a background in culinary. While working in a resort hotel carving weekly displays for Sunday brunch. Rusty and Steve went on to carve large multi-block displays for hotels, restaurants, spa’s, corporate events, including demonstrations for culinary colleges and food shows.
Rusty Cox from Camrose Alberta. He has been a professional ice carver for 18 years. His favourite time of year is winter. He suffers through summers just to get back to winter. He is a regular ice carver at Ice Magic at the Chateau in Lake Louise and has competed at Winterlude in Ottawa and High on Ice in Fort St. John , Ice on Whyte in Edmonton and in 2008, he and team mate Steve went to Harbin, China competing in the world famous ice carving competition. Rusty currently resides in Fairmont, BC.
Steve Buzak is from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Steve has been a professional ice carver for 13 years. Competing regularly in Ice Magic at the Chateau Lake Louise, Edmonton's “Ice on Whyte” , Winterlude in Ottawa., Fort St. Johns High on Ice and in 2008 Steve partnered up with Rusty for the compete in Harbin China.
