Chaz was so funny. Anyone that knew him would probably say that first thing; "he was always so funny." He was also incredibly smart, and naturally talented at almost anything he tried to do. Some may say that he was best known for his smile, dimples, and laugh. He was a wonderful artist, a kick ass skateboarder (back in the day), and was in the MEMS program at LCCC to become a mechanical engineer.
He was the father to 2 fantastic children that will carry on all of his best qualities. Chaz had a father; two sisters, Verronica and Abigail; and four brothers, Andy, Aaron, Kyle and Jonathan (Coolie). He was preceded in death by his mother, Karen, and little brother, Kyle. Chaz was married to Stephanie (myself) for 2.5 years, and we were together for 11; we have been separated for just over 5 months, but we still loved each other very much.
Chaz went to the hospital November 13th and stayed for 10 days. There, he learned that he was in final stage liver failure due to severe cirrhosis, which led to multiple organ failure. He chose to leave the hospital to be at home for the remainder of his life. He died in his apartment on Thursday afternoon.
Chaz was 32 years old. He had no life insurance in place, and I have no means to pay for a cremation or funeral. I have had many tragedies happen around me over the last 4 years, and I know better than most how much my community shows up for our own. Please do what you can to help pay for the upcoming expenses. Anything left over will be put towards Chaz's kid's future.
Arrangements are yet to be determined. I will post an update when the details are decided.
