Charlotte Needs Help

Monday night Charlotte started having seizures around 11:15 and continued having multiple seizures until Tuesday morning around 4am, with one of the seizures lasting more than 15 minutes. Charlotte stayed in a "discognitive state" for 5 hours. During this time period she didn't laugh, cry, follow anyone with her eyes, or react or respond to anything. When nurses pricked her with needles for various reasons, Charlotte didn't even flinch. Other assessments were performed, and she gave the same response, nothing. We are in Greenville in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. Charlotte is receiving seizure medication through an IV to stop any additional seizures. They have done a brain scan, collected swabs, cultures and specimens. she has also had a spinal tap, EEG and an MRI on her brain. The doctors have not been able to figure out what has caused her to start having seizures.
