URC is celebrating 50 years of camping!
URC IS TURNING 50.
Y'all. Uskichitto Retreat Center is HALF A CENTURY old. We want the camp to look and be the very best that it can as we celebrate this milestone. Want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money for URC, and any donation will help make an impact. My goal is FIFTY HUNDRED DOLLARS.
What's all this money for? We want another basketball goal! We want new, sturdy pool furniture! We want to update and upgrade our facilities! We want new Creation Care programs like beehives (HONEY Y'ALL) and more garden space! We want to expand the farm! We want to transform the pavilion into a GORGEOUS house of WORSHIP (with reclaimed wood and barn doors).
For too long we have asked for crumbs and apologized for existing. I am ready to CELEBRATE this ministry and the impact it has on young lives. "Do not despise these small beginnings, for the LORD REJOICES to see the work begin." (Zechariah 4:10) Our camp program accepts campers at 5 years old, and it's hard to imagine a much smaller beginning than that.
Camp is where kids really get to meet Jesus for the first time. Let's make this 50th year the biggest and best that URC has ever seen.
