The Widow's Pantry is a 501(c)3 organization that has been providing food, clothing and spiritual encouragement to the homeless, unemployed and underemployed at Franklin Square Park in the Washington, DC Metropolitan area on the second Saturday of the month since 2009. We recently started providing services at Marvin Gaye Park in Northeast Washington. The founder was a struggling single parent not eligible for any government assistance. This organization is 100% volunteer driven, which includes resources.
