Hello, my name is Miguel Aguilar( Mr. Aguilar to my students) and I am an 8th grade English Teacher at Los Angeles Academy Middle School. This semester, my students have focused on trying to change the world by focusing on an important issue they believe deserves an immediate solution. I am sponsoring my student Katie by helping them create this GoFundMe. I will let Katie describe their goals:

Hello, my name is Katie, I´m an 8th grade student at Los Angeles Academy Middle School, and the purpose of this GoFundMe is to spread awareness about Teen Suicide. Suicide is the second leading cause of death for children, adolescents, and young adults age 15 to 24-year-olds. My goal for this is to raise at least $1,000 to donate to those in need of desperate help, and to those who genuinely don't see a future for themselves. I plan to accomplish this by creating this GoFundMe and raising enough money to be able to donate to The Jewels Angel Foundation, Inc. This is a charity and a non-profit organization that is dedicated to help teens see their potential and addressing the challenges of depression and suicide prevention. They made this charity after the loss of their daughter, Jewels, dedicating it to her and other teens in need of help.
