Talanta Africa Fund

The Talanta Africa Football Academy (TAFA) is a grassroots Christian charity that works in the slum areas around Naivasha, Kenya. TAFA engages with at-risk children and youth through a football ministry to provide an alternative to street-life while building skills for a successful future. TAFA tackles brokenness through a comprehensive mentorship program including coaching, Bible-based life skills, tutoring, and a safe place to call “home”.

It has long been an aspiration of TAFA's players and coaches to participate in the Youth World Cup (aka Gothia Cup), which is held every year in Gothenburg, Sweden. In July 2025, TAFA is hoping to send its Under-16 boys football (soccer) team to participate, and is raising funding to support this ambition. Already, TAFA's team has been accepted, and granted a scholarship covering 90% of the participation fee, food, and accommodations. However, the team desperately needs help with the airfare and other local expenses.
