Help our students visit Egypt
African Genesis Institute is a nonprofit “School Without Walls” for African American and Latino youth between the ages of 7 and 14. Over a 27-month period students and group leaders learn of their rich and extraordinary ancient African history through classes held at the
African American Museum of Philadelphia and Raw Space in Harlem,reading and writing assignments, oral presentations and field trips in the United States and Canada with the focus on developing an understanding and awareness of the African experience in America.
On August 1st, God willing, graduates of our program will travel to Egypt for a once in a life time experience that they will cherish for the rest of their lives. This free, all-expense paid trip is their reward for successfully completing the 27 month study program hosted by our organization.
African Genesis Institute is an independent, self contained organization. We get very little funding or help from the government, foundations or sponsors. All of our support and success comes from the Creator, the ancestors and the Black community.
This year, the cost of the program and trip is $340,000. To date, thru internal fundraising efforts, the students have raised $322,000.
We are asking you to help us raise the remaining $18,000 by July 25th by making a tax deductible donation.
