Hello! My name is Shannon Marie Smith. I live with Polycystic Kidney Disease and am on dialysis 3 time a week for three hours each day. PKD forms cysts on the kidneys until the point they eventually fail. Dialysis is what is keeping me alive until I can hopefully get a transplant. I walk because I can. There are many people who suffer kidney disease that are not able to take care of themselves. I am lucky to still be able to function daily. It may not be easy some days, but I battle on like many do.

I am doing my annually walk at the Detroit Zoo and am looking for donations to help me reach my goal or beyond. Will you please help me? Any amount helps.
